2015 Science On a Sphere® Users Collaborative Network Workshop
The next Science On a Sphere® (SOS) Users Collaborative Network Workshop will be co-hosted by NOAA and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) in Portland, Oregon from December 2-4, 2015. The workshop will facilitate the continuation of the work done by the Network to optimize utilization of spherical display systems for providing science educational messages. Participation in this workshop is limited to members of the NOAA Science On a Sphere® Users Collaborative Network and invited groups who are working with the Network. The list of Network members is available here. Invitations have been sent to all members.
There is no registration fee thanks to the support of the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation and the in-kind support provided by OMSI. However, all who plan to attend the workshop will need to register by the deadline of October 30, 2015. It is not required that all participants submit presentation proposals, although we do encourage submissions as the philosophy of the workshop is that it is largely based on the needs of the attendees.
The theme of workshop is “Think BIG: Big Changes, Big Systems, and Big Data in the 21st Century.”
The hours for the SOS Workshop are:
Wednesday, December 2 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (OMSI After Dark evening mixer 5:00 -10:00 pm)
